I have a bit of a fascination with dishware. I love the variety, styles, shapes and timeless feel to them. I also love how dishware can bring back memories from your childhood and how pieces are carried down from generation to generation. I own a beautiful set of silverware given to me by my grandmother. I know how expensive they can be so I am very grateful to own a nice set. Its makes such a difference. What dishware of yours do you love?

I love it too but have nowhere to store it. :(
I totally adore the old cutlery I bought at a flea market for £5 (!) a couple of years ago. I don't have much room in my kitchen so I store them in a flowerpot :o)
I wish I could have open shelving in my kitchen. But I'm too big a mess!

I agree. there's something so much more interesting about a collection of vintage dishes. I have a mixed set of fine china from my grandmother on my dad's side and a great aunt on my mom side. I was SO thrilled when they were offered to me and the coordinated so well!
Dishware passed down to me means the world to me. My mom has told me stories behind each dish. I love to look at old dishware, and it always brings back memories of my childhood. Someday, I hope to pass these dishes on to my son who has a family now.
