New Vintage Wallpaper Jotters in the Shop!

My mother gave me this really beautiful Schumacher sample wallpaper book from the 1940's and it has a ton of really cool designs. I knew I wanted to make something with them but I wasn't sure until today.

As you can see I decided to make pretty little jotters. I played around with some different sizes and ways to bind it. I ended up going with a 3"x 3-1/2" size and after much thought I ended up stapling them together and tying a pretty white ribbon over the area that I stapled. I sort of went crazy with making them today and I had so much fun picking out the patterns!

These are really great for your purse or better yet a stocking stuffer! There are only 6 of each set so get yours before there all gone! :)

Citrine & Midnight Cluster

Jane from Glorious hats makes the prettiest treasuries so I was smitten when she decided to make a cluster. Here is a pretty one she recently did called "A Pale Shade of Citrine". I love that by doing so she introduced me to a few new gorgeous shops. Thanks Jane!

I decided to make a monochromatic cluster as well using navy blues. I call this one "Midnight Beauty".

Etsy Favorites

You may have noticed but I am an etsy fanatic. I am always looking for beautiful handmade and vintage items and I get pretty giddy looking at all of them together. I am especially digging my favorites from the past week.

This weekend I have some hiking and tennis planned. Yesterday I played disc golf. Could I be getting addicted to outdoor activities now? Probably not but it definitely is a great way to get my butt of the computer. What did we do before the internet? Hhhmmm.... Yeah..... I dont remember either. :)

Loving Your Clusters!

Wow! You guys are great! I wasn't expecting this much participation so soon. I really appreciate it. You just never know if people get into the same things you do. I am glad that some of you found it fun and decided to make your own cluster!

I have been working on some changes tweaks and whatnots on the Lovely Clusters website and I am pretty excited about this new feature where you can make your own clusters on our site! If you love making collages or treasury's on etsy I think you will have fun with making clusters too!

Presents from Adorn Designs!

The other day I received some cute little presents in the mail from the lovely Hilary from Adorn Designs! This was part of a project that Lady Pattie started called Shop Swap and & Blog where people who have a shop and a blog sign up and they are matched with another seller and they send each other their goodies. Here is a little peek into what I received! Don't you just love getting presents in the mail?

A little bit about the artist, Hilary Hahn…

I grew up in Kentucky and have lived abroad in France. I currently live and work in Los Angeles, a city for dreams. I decided to start my own business so that I could share more of what I love to create as an artist.

My blog allows me to reflect on projects and collaborate with other designers. Through my Pink Pianos site I connect with more artists and stay inspired. I love to paint and design and this serves as a window into that world. My Twitter profile page is http://twitter.com/AdornDesign, lots of friends follow me there.

In two years, I’d like to be selling my jewelry and art. In five, designing artful spaces. Ten years?…whoa that’s a long time from now! I love India and have aspirations of one day designing interiors there specifically. Current projects include lots of vintage furniture restoration.

At present my favorite online shop is Namolio, although I constantly mark favorites on Etsy, I keep going back there for a visit. They sell the most dainty pincushions and crocheted flower hair bands. I know I’m going to enjoy buying something there very soon!
