As you might assume living on Maui is expensive and most of us have to work more to get by but when were not working we have the beach as our backyard. Its a nice little reminder of why we live in this beautiful place. My husband is off tomorrow and I am going to try to get him to go to the beach with me for a little bit. He works on a boat so he is in the sun a lot and so I am going to have to choose a beach that has some shade. :)
I think my favorite part about going to the beach is swimming in fresh ocean water and cooling off on a hot day. Just relaxing and taking in the view is also pretty sweet. What is your favorite part about going to the beach?

My favorite part of going to our Florida beaches is being able to look far off at the horizon. It calms my soul knowing God holds all of this in the palm of His hand, and He will certainly carry me. I love your photos! Can't wait until we can visit the beaches in your backyard. We'll have to save those pennies! :-)

Beach is th only thing I can't get enough of hope you enjoy your time there.
ReplyDeleteI grew up in Southern California and also lived in Northern California.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part is the thundering surf sounds.
I was so blessed to grow up loving those beautiful sounds....and I miss it SO much now I live in Texas.
The other thing is viewing either the sunrise or the sunset. And then there is a full moon shining over the water.....that is truly sublime.
I know it's expensive in Hawaii....but you live in Paradise, truly!
I enjoy walking on the beach and feeling the soft sands beneath my feet and listening to the waves lapping on the seashore. It makes me feel I'm so close to nature - the feeling is indescribable.

We love beaches too but live in the south part of Australia. Our holiday home is right near the beach and we try to enjoy it all year round.

ReplyDeleteI haven't been to the beach in awhile but i remember that i loved sinking. Where you stand where the water comes up over your feet and when the water pulls back it takes sand with it so you sink.

When I lived near the beach, I would go out in the late afternoon as much as I was able. Loved reading a book, listening to the waves, the salt-air breezes...then watching the sunset. Those were my zen moments.

I love going to the beach, because it relaxes me and gives me a fresh mind. I love the waves, and watching the people. The beach has a way of making a person feel refreshed and young again even for a day. The beach is a fantastic place to be.

ReplyDeleteHow I love the beach. Haven't been to Hawaii yet:( Finally got to visit the Caribbean last year, twice. So can't complain to much. I am from California and we are staying at a condo in Mission next week so exited. Seeing your pictures makes me even more so.
