  • Mood Board - Romantic Yellow

    Mood Boards
I have been in sort of a weird funk all week and yesterday I decided to get out of it. Wasn't really depressed for any reason but I definitely didn't feel all that motivated and my head cold wasn't helping any. Playing some disc golf in the fresh air was definitely in order. Sunshine usually does the trick and now I am back to my old self. Working at home is great but sometimes I don't leave it for a few days and I get a little stir crazy if you know what I mean.

    Row 1: dirkrees, mio-spr
    Row 2: hollystalder, megbwright
    Row 3: hollyjolliffe, thealfmemoirs

So as you can see I am inspired by sunny yellow right now and I also love this color because it reminds me of my sweet grandmother. It was her favorite. :) How was your week? Any plans for the weekend?

I love the ruffly dress - but sadly am too sallow for yellow! Still, a bunch of daffs will make up for it!

I've lately become a big fan of yellow. It seems to slowly be creeping into my closet. We have been hit hard with a nasty cold over here. I'm hoping that this will be the first weekend in a while that everyone is healthy (knocking on wood!). Have a lovely weekend!

Yellow is such a fun color and it's not too feminine or to masculine so can be used in so many different contexts.

      Have a lovely weekend!

I have had a similar 'blah' week myself - maybe its the time of year. Those gorgeous pictures reminded me that it will not be long and I will see my forsythia in full yellow bloom.

I have a little floral giveaway if you are interested.

It's so amazing how much yellow can lift up ones mood. Yesterday was a gray day for me. While I was prepping some lemon zest for a dish I was making later, the combination of the yellow and the fresh lemon scent just made me giddy. This cluster of yellows is really perfect.

What a bright lovely color! I'm actually wearing it right now b/c it's sunny outside and I'm indoors blasting the heat pretending it's summer:-) Lol

Have a great weekend! Mine consists of chillin and adventures with my hubby, for 3 days no plans I can't wait!

    30. Marsi @ The Cottage Cheese said... February 19, 2010 at 6:11 PM

Such cheery yellows! I've been eying that dress for about a year now. So sorry to hear you've been in a funk Rachel :( For no apparent reason, I've felt blue all day today, and my husband will be gone all weekend, so that doesn't help. I'm hoping that our warm sunny weather will help pull me out of it. Working from home myself, I know exactly what you mean. About once a month I take off to spend an hour at my favorite neighborhood bookstore. Somehow it's an escape. It's like a mini-vacation in the middle of the week. Do cheer up Rachel!

Hope you're feeling better...it sounds like you're on the mend. Oh, what a little bit of sunshine can do to lift one's spirit! It has been a tough week for me...feeling that "in the funk" feeling as well, but I think I'm over that now.

      Have a great weekend!
