Mellow Monday: Into the Forest
Happy Monday everyone! Last Friday I mentioned that I was going ziplining for our friends birthday and it ended up being really fun. My husband actually works for the zipline company and they have two courses. The course he works at we have done several times but I hadnt done the other course so I was excited to go. The other course is located in Haleakala and if you are familiar with Maui you will know that this is the much colder area. I bet it was probably around 40-50 degrees Fahrenheit which is really cold for us! :) The best part of the tour is that you are hiking and ziping through a beautiful eucalyptus forest. It was quite lovely and the views were spectacular so if you come to Maui you must check this place out! (www.zipline.com) Here are some images that I gathered from flickr that reminded me of that calm feeling that a forest provides.

Oh how I wish I had spent some time in the forest this weekend, but alas I was in two different cities (although it was still a fun weekend). These images are just gorgeous! Ziplining through a Eucalyptus forest sounds absolutley delightful. Just the mention of Eucalyptus takes me back to my childhood in San Diego. It's too cold to grow it where I live now.
Oh to live in paradise and be married to an adventurer!

i think the images convey exactly what a peaceful forest feels like... i especially love the image of the girl lying on the forest floor. so romantic, in the classical sense.

I went ziplining in the rain forest in Costa Rica last year- something I would NEVER EVER do but somehow ended up doing it. It was a really great experience!

What a beautiful blog. I went ziplining in the rain forest of St Lucia. Although I was nrevous at the prospect I found it to be calming and quite dreamlike, very much like your selection of images.
