One of my most favorite things in the world is waterfalls. Whenever I go traveling I am always researching to see if they have them. I feel so fortunate to live close to so many.
Here are some of my favorites. So refreshing and calming. I like them in all shapes and sizes too. :)
oh my gosh these are so beautiful! wish i wouldn't have seen these while at work... now I have no motivation to get through the rest of the work day haha, time for a vacation!
I agree with you. Waterfalls are amazing. One of my favorite trips was to the Olympic Mountains to an area called Lake Crescent. As you were driving down the road, there was a sheer mountainous rise on one side with ferns and large trees that had waterfalls every so often cutting down the mountain, and emptying into the lake on the other side of the road. I've only been to Hawaii once. You're really really lucky to get to live in such a beautiful place. Thanks for sharing your favorite spots with us.
Recognized that first one right away - Multnomah Falls in OR - one of the few I've actually seen in person...:) Well, Niagara should count too, right? Now, that's a Waterfall! Have you visited?
Waterfalls are one of the spectacle creations of Mother Nature. The soothing sounds of the falling water give us inner peace. Just like what I've experienced from Svartifoss waterfall. Aside from the waterfalls itself, the noticeable hanging basalt behind it adds a breathtaking attraction. It also reminded me of the structure of Hallgrimskirkja Church with its startling interior design.

You're so lucky! I've never been to any real waterfalls like that.
