  • I was just checking out my popular pins from the last 30 days and this gorgeous bathroom was pretty popular so I thought I would share it here. In fact the whole house is really beautiful. I also really liked the guest bedroom. The neutrals and pops of soft blues throughout the home is really peaceful and calm.

  • I really loved reading about the process of this beautiful dining room from Mabley Handler Interior Design.

    "When you look at dining rooms, they are usually the darkest, most formal and often the least-used room in the house. We wanted our dining room to be bold and fresh, fun and enticing. We wanted to design a dining room that would draw you in to entertain in it, rather than feel like a museum room that says "Keep out."

    I agree that a dining room should feel this way too! What do you think?

  • The texture and soft pinks of this bedroom is really pretty! That bed looks so cozy too. In the article about this space on Style at Home the Interior Designer Tara Fingold talks about how great the client was to work with.

    She says “It was amazing how open she was, and how she kept pushing for something interesting.”

    I wish all clients were this way! Everyone is different and when designing a home it can get very personal so I understand why clients may be pretty particular. I suggest that if you are hiring a designer it is best to let them design with your needs in mind but to let them add their own design expertise.

    When I was planning my wedding I was so glad that I let the vendors add their expertise. It helps that you like their work and you give them an understanding of the style and look you want. I could not have imagined a better outcome. :)

  • Love the clean and crisp feel to this beautiful home in California. The colors are vibrant and fun while still keeping it classic and comfortable. There is a nice harmony throughout the spaces as well.



  • This is such a sweet home fit for someone who is romantic and loves vintage. The decor works beautifully with the detailed architecture. I just want to have tea and explore all the knick knacks with a bunch a girlfriends in this house. So fun!

  • This home exudes character and nostalgia for me. It doesn't seem perfectly arranged and decorated. Its as if the process took years. Family heirlooms alongside newer furniture and decor give it a sense of warmth and room for the decorating to grow. I could feel at home here. What about you?

  • I love green accents with wood tones. These two spaces also have my favorite styles. The left has more of a vintage homey feel and the other has a really clean feel to it with mid century modern furniture. I want both. Which one would you choose?






  • I am liking the feel of this home. It doesnt take itself too seriously and each room takes on its own personality while still feeling cohesive throughout. I could definitely spend some serious time here. :)



  • When I first got into Interior Design about 10 years ago I tended to lean towards spaces that were very perfect looking. Color, balance, style, were all very harmonious but when I look at some of these interiors now I think they look too perfect and not as livable. When I was in college studying Interior Design I found that it is harder to create interior spaces that look effortlessly together. I have come to appreciate more room designs that have a lot of character and furniture and decor looks as if it took awhile to accumulate instead of buying everything at once.

    I often get asked how I gather my images together and for the most part I tend to use Pinterest and patience on finding the right ones to use. Often times pinterest doesnt have the original source which can be frustrating but there is a great tool that google has. When you go to google.com and choose images there is a little camera icon. Click on this icon and then upload the image you are trying to find. It will list out links to where this image has also been on the internet. So cool and very helpful if you are a stickler like me on sourcing.

    I had to do this on both of these images above but was happy I did because I really loved the collection of images from the right one. It includes a beautiful fairy themed wedding. The costumes are to die for! Check them out HERE>>
