Central Oregon Lakes

 South Twin Lake

My husband and I went on a little day trip the other day to go and explore some lakes in the area. We were planning on checking out Paulina Lake but the road was closed and so we turned around and checked the map for some others and we fortunately found two other lakes nearby! I fell in love with South Twin Lake. The weather was warm and the water was so calm and peaceful. I never thought I would be so anxious to go buy a kayak. There was an elderly couple in little boats and I was so jealous. :) It was great to check it out though for future camping trips. Its only about hour drive from Bend, Oregon.

 Wickiup Reservoir

We also found Wickiup Reservoir and this was much larger so it would be great if we had a little boat. I really loved the snowy mountain and the trees in the water. I can't wait for it to start warming up around here so we can take advantage of these lakes more. We got so lucky this day. It was 70 degrees and I was wearing a tank top and flip flops! :)
