Mellow Monday: Italy

Happy Monday everyone! Hope my American readers had a lovely Thanksgiving. The last few days my husband and I have started to plan a trip to Italy and Spain. We want to start in Rome and then go to Florence and Venice and then back down to Rome and then explore Capri and Sicily! We are in the very beginning of our planning stage and so if you have any suggestions for us I would love to hear them! We will be in Italy for two weeks and then another two weeks in Spain next year around September and October. :)

Thanksgiving Inspiration!

This year I am having two Thanksgivings. Today we are going to our friends house and then I get to spend Thanksgiving day with my mom. One of these years maybe I will host Thanksgiving at my house. If I ever do I would love to decorate like any of these pretty spaces. So beautiful!

I am liking the feel of this home. It doesnt take itself too seriously and each room takes on its own personality while still feeling cohesive throughout. I could definitely spend some serious time here. :)

Color Inspiration: Orange Bird Pink Flowers

This is such a cool looking bird with its orange body. I love the composition with him and the pink flowers blooming behind him. All the gray tones bring the color brightness down a bit making it even more lovely.

Get Inspired on Beehive!

I was recently asked to curate some of my favorite items from the beautiful shop Beehive Style from the owner Petra and the lovely Leigh from found now home. I chose this photo below as inspiration because I love the mood and feel of it. Since I don't get a real winter here on Maui I love to look at photos of snow and people dressed up for the cold. I think the colors are nice and calming with the desaturated blues and grays.
