Elizabeth Taylor Illustration + Freebie!
I recently had a sudden urge to draw. I feel like I do better when I have something to reference rather than pull from my imagination. I envy people who can but I strive on inspiration from others and than making it my own. I have always loved the look of fashion sketches and have always admired my mothers collection so I knew I wanted to go that direction. After looking through my pinterest board "before my time" I decided to sketch the beautiful Elizabeth Taylor. It seemed fitting. Color Inspiration: Walking with Style
Back to the computer today. My husband finally had a day off so we spent it together yesterday. We went out to breakfast, disc golfing, beach, and then out to dinner with my mom. So nice to spend some time together! :)

Most of you have already heard about the wonderfully awesome "For Japan with Love" created by the lovely bloggers from Ever Ours and Utterly Engaged. As of 11:30pm on March 20 they have raised a whopping $53,940! So incredibly awesome! You can find out more HERE>>

Ganbare, Nippon! translates to Don't Give Up, Japan! After the shocking earthquake and tsunami that devastated North East Japan on 11th March 2011, illustrators Natsuki Otani, Lea Wade and Erica Sharp put their heads together to come up with creative ways to raise money and awareness and help the people of Japan move forward.
Creatives, please please get involved and support this fantastic project! There are several ways you can do this:

Mood Board: Lavender + Gold
I have to admit this isnt one of my favorite color schemes but I guess I have been drawn to it lately. Maybe what I am liking about it is that these colors together definitely have a feeling of glamour and elegance. What do you think?
