• Working with a lot of color in one space can definitely be difficult especially in a bedroom because most of the time it's used for rest and relaxation. I think these inspiration examples below are still calm yet fun and oh so glam!

  • I have been in love with old vintage cameras ever since I got to use my father in laws old pentax for a photography class I took a few years ago. Everyone in the class had new digital cameras and I was stuck using 35mm film. I felt like I had a disadvantage until I realized I was the only one in the class who had the slowest shutter speed. Having this made it so I could take a picture with Ryan walking in slow motion and have multiple Ryan's in one photo. It came out pretty neat! I started thinking about old vintage cameras again the other night when Ryan and I attended a party and saw some from the home owners collection. Their cameras had to have been the oldest I had ever seen probably from the early 1900's. It was so cool to see it in person and I wonder now if they still work. Below are some lovely vintage cameras I found on flickr. Enjoy!

These pictures make me want to bring out the Pentax again and start playing. Aren't they beautiful? Do you have any old cameras in your collection and do they still work?
  • All week I have been thinking about going on a mini vacation and I finally decided to go on to hawaiianair.com and purchase two tickets to Oahu for our anniversary! I have been working my butt off lately so I think its due time to have one. We are getting a little island fever if you will and since its not in the cards to go to Portland, OR right now we decided to do a more budget friendly vacation. A skip to Oahu cost about $50 each way from Maui and we have a nice hookup at a hotel right next to Waikiki beach. I know its still another island but the scenery is different and there are fun things to do at night. Can't wait! I am already creating a 3 day itinerary. :) I hope that whatever you decide to do this weekend is relaxing and fun!

I want to thank everyone who has participated in the The Lovely Blogger List! I really appreciate all of your support and sweet words. It's been so nice to read everyones and get to know them a bit better. If your looking for a few new blogger friends I am sure the blogs listed would love to meet you! :) Check out what we have so far HERE>> where you can also add yourself to the list. See you back on Monday with more posts! :)
  • Yesterday I stopped by my moms store to setup a photo shoot for her vintage items. I am now officially the online curator for my mother vintage's shop that will be up and running on etsy in a few days! It would be impossible to get everything up on the internet so I am picking through my favorites to add online for all to see. :) Just some styles that I am mainly sticking with is grandma chic, victorian romantic, and bohemian girl. Its like going through the best thrift shop ever! (if your on Maui check it out hulagypsy.com) I hope to be posting about the items by the end of the week.

  • I remember when I was in high school and I would pick out my clothes for the next day. I would hang the outfit up for quick access. I was never a morning person and wouldn't give myself too much time getting ready in the morning so I would do whatever I could do to make things go more smoothly. It was definitely fun picking out what to wear for school. These days I just grab a comfy dress out of the closet and throw it on. Working at home I guess I don't often try too hard to impress. When I get the off chance of having a meeting I tend to think a bit more about what I am going to wear and I like that I still have that.

So what about you? Do you tend to pick out what your going to wear the night before? Hows your Monday treating you?
  • When I was gathering images to put together for today's mood board post I kept gravitating towards colorful and fresh feeling spring images.

I am so in love with all of these pretty outfits! Definitely makes me want to go outside and get some fresh air. Some disc golf is definitely in order. Starting my weekend early. :)

    Have a great one!
  • I hope everyone had a fun St. Patricks Day! Definitely had me missing Ireland and the beauty of their country. We went there for 10 days for our honeymoon and I hope that one day we can go back to learn more about our heritage. Ryan's uncle and aunt went there not too long ago and saw the original Sullivan castle. (thats Ryans mother's maiden name) They even made a family tree for us and told us more about his Irish heritage. Very cool and so interesting!

Thank you everyone for making such pretty curated clusters lately. Here are some of my recent favorites. Enjoy!

  • Happy St. Patricks Day! You have probabbly seen a ton of green things today so I apologize if this is a green overload but I honestly don't think I could ever get sick of this color. It is my favorite. If I had it my way I would live in the country where there is nothing but green. I guess my little loft on Maui will do for now. :) Hope its green wherever you are!

  • Yah! I made it through Monday. Hope everyone got through without too much stress. :) It's Tuesday and so that means I get to show off some of our lovely sellers. It just so happens that all of these sellers have soft dreamy images that I think you are going to love! Wont you come along with me and browse some storefronts in the beautiful land of etsy? First stop is K Zukowski who designs digital collages of original artwork and vintage illustrations. She even can do custom letters and colors if you are interested. This lady silhouette with butterfly's is one of my favorites. Just gorgeous!
